Why Your Website Isn't Generating Leads: 7 Common Mistakes Tunisian SMEs Make

A site that gets visitors but no inquiries almost always has a specific, fixable cause rather than a mysterious one — and the same handful of problems show up repeatedly across underperforming Tunisian business sites.
The contact path is often the first culprit: a phone number as the only contact method (many visitors won't call a business they've never dealt with), a contact form buried in a menu instead of visible on every page, or no WhatsApp option, when WhatsApp is often the channel Tunisian customers actually prefer to use first.
Unclear value proposition is second: a homepage that describes the company instead of the problem it solves for the visitor loses people before they scroll far enough to find a way to contact. If a visitor can't tell within a few seconds whether this business solves their problem, they leave.
The rest of the usual list: slow load times (especially on mobile, where a large share of Tunisian traffic happens), no clear next step or call to action on key pages, no social proof or trust signals near the point of decision, outdated content that makes the business look inactive, and — for local businesses — a missing or incomplete Google Business Profile pulling in zero map-pack traffic. Fixing even two or three of these on an existing site often moves the lead numbers more than a full redesign would.
